JOB DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION:

Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Credit Union t/a CLEVR Money is seeking to expand its business through direct business growth.

AIM OF ROLE:

To increase membership numbers through direct business and community contact and through social media marketing.

ROLE OUTLINE:

The post requires the post holder to have the ability to focus on achieving business growth for the company and who will welcome the opportunity to make a big and long-lasting difference in the lives of this community.

Able to be an ambassador for our organisation both virtually and in-person, attending networking groups and representing the credit union at events within the community;  be equally at home articulating the benefits of membership to regional CEOs as with students at the local college or tenants at the local housing association forum.  

Possess the technical knowhow to utilise our many digital channels to best advantage. Possess the ability to be a creative and effective storyteller and able to create accurate and engaging content for use both online and in the media.

It is envisaged that the post holder will focus 60% of their time on direct marketing to business and community partners and 40% of their time on Online Marketing and Social Media improvements.

STRUCTURE:

Working as part of a small but dedicated team with a requirement to prepare a direct report to the monthly Board meeting.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:                       

 BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY:

  • Direct Marketing – collateral review and update
  • Re-engagement of Payroll Partners – testimonial campaign
  • Attend Networking organisations and events to raise brand awareness and raise profile.  Relationship building
  • Payroll Partner Linked-In Campaign for advertising, brand awareness and direct marketing
  • Attend Networking organisations and events to raise brand awareness and raise profile.  Relationship building
  • Improve community engagement via an Ambassador programme or similar
  • Website review and updates to enhance customer information and membership interaction

ONLINE MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA:

  • Social Media expansion for advertising and brand awareness
  • Direct marketing via segmented targeted e-shots
  • Google Ad words to support SEO advertising
  • Website blogs plus Search Term research
  • Member e-shots
  • Planned Social Media organic posts
  • Social Media Adverts
  • Press Releases – ad hoc
  • Community Engagement Social Media – daily posts
  • Website updates – landing pages and content

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Set targets for increase in Payroll Partners and targets for improved community engagement
  • Develop performance measures for reporting
  • Prepare a report for monthly Board meetings on progress and growth

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS:

This is a new post and the post holder will have opportunity to develop the role to make it a central part of the on-going growth of CLEVR Money.  All employees will be given every chance to discuss any proposed changes and will be kept informed at all times.

Developments will be measured by the successful attainment of set targets and performance measures and on the needs of the Company.  This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to be able to influence the future growth and development of CLEVR Money.

CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION:

There is a three (3) month Contractual Probationary Period (CPP) during which time there will be regular assessments.  Should there not be total satisfaction at the end of the CPP period the Company reserve the right to extend the CPP period by a further three (3) months but never longer than that.   On satisfactory completion of the CPP employees will become permanent.

Employees will be given a Contract of Employment and Statement of Particulars on commencement of employment which will contain all contractual information.  There is also a Staff Handbook containing all company Policies and Procedures.

TERMS OF ROLE:

Based at: Main CLEVR Money office at Birley Street, Blackpool

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience       

Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 4.30pm Friday

Breaks: Reasonable breaks during the morning and afternoon and an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.

A minimum of three years marketing experience in both direct and digital marketing. 
Evidence of prior training and development. 
Experience of social media management, creating and implementing a pro-active social media strategy. 
Ability to undertake a LinkedIn campaign. 
Ability to undertake a regular website review and action updates. 
Ability to establish strong communication channels with partner organisations, political representatives and public sector stakeholders.   
Experience in direct communications with business and community groups. 
Experience in undertaking presentations where applicable.

Able to set targets. 
Understanding of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, to extend reach and growing audience across platforms.   
Strong writer crafting creative, engaging, accurate copy for web, media, print, advertising, social media. 
Proven track record in creating accurate and engaging content. 
Have an understanding of planning and managing Google AdWords. 
Ability to manage analytics tools, review strategy and change if necessary. 
Basic graphic design skills using Photoshop or similar. 
Able to develop performance measures for reporting. 
Able to use WordPress CMS to keep website up to date; experience of e-newsletter software and be able to use Mailchimp or similar.   
Familiarity with video software packages to produce short films.
