Merry Christmas to all of our members and supporters

Ho ho ho and a Merry Christmas to all of our members and supporters.

We are playing Santa this week and delivering some extremely tasty gifts to our friends at some of the community centres we’re working with in the local area.

Hundreds of you voted for which centre you wanted to win the CLEVR Money Christmas hamper, and it was a very close run race. But in the end it was the Westview Community Centre in Fleetwood which secured the most votes and will receive the huge box of chocolatey treats.

We were absolutely overwhelmed, however, with the response of the community and the sheer number of people who cast their vote. So we decided to make up two extra hampers for the two runners up, the Farrington Park community centre in Preston and At The Grange in Blackpool. All three have been great supporters of the credit union this year by providing us with space from which to offer appointments within their communities.

We thank them, the staff and volunteers working so hard for the people in their local area, and we thank you for voting in the poll.

The credit union will continue to be busy helping members right up until Christmas Eve, when our office will then close for the festive period and reopen on Thursday January 2nd. Like Santa’s Elves, we’re busily trying to get everything sorted in time for Christmas and so the deadline for pre-Christmas loan applications is Friday December 20th. Anyone with a genuine emergency is welcome to contact us after that and the on-call team will do what they can, but most loans will then be processed early in the new year.

Community appointments re-start on January 8th, please contact the office to book a slot - either before December 24th or after January 2nd.
