1. Explore the Beaches
Blackpool is renowned for its award winning sandy shores and iconic three piers, which you can enjoy for free. Spend a day building sandcastles, playing beach games, or simply relaxing by the sea. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the famous Blackpool Promenade, where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the seaside.

2. Blackpool Tower and Comedy Carpet
Blackpool Tower is arguably the most iconic landmark in Blackpool, it can be seen from as far away as Wales! While the tower itself has an admission fee, you can enjoy the Comedy Carpet which is located outside its base for free. This large artwork features jokes and quotes from famous British comedians, giving your family plenty of laughs and photo opportunities.

3. Stanley Park
Stanley Park is an award-winning public park, covering around 260 acres, located opposite Blackpool Zoo. We think it is the perfect place for a family day out. The park has landscaped gardens, a boating lake, and a children’s playground. Bring a picnic or rent a pedal boat, to make the most of the outdoor fun. There are also free events and activities held throughout the year.

4. Grundy Art Gallery
For a dose of culture, visit the Grundy Art Gallery located in the town centre. It hosts contemporary art exhibitions that change throughout the year, providing a great way to introduce children to the arts.

5. Sandcastle Waterpark
Whilst not free, Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK’s largest indoor waterpark, with slides, wave machines, and lazy rivers to keep the kids entertained. Pre-book your three hour time slot and make sure you get a membership card to take advantage of discounted prices.
